Dr. Howard H. Frederick
Professor
Besides directing two cocoa and chocolate companies in Australia and Samoa, he holds the position of Honorary Professor (Entrepreneurship Education) at Deakin University in Melbourne. An American-New Zealander and Silicon Valley native, Howard advocates a social entrepreneurship approach to community and national development in the Pacific that is based around is acclaimed book Entrepreneurship Theory Process Practice (Melbourne: Cengage 2013). The book received Australian Award for Excellence in Educational Publishing and has been translated into Chinese and other languages. Howard has trained companies in Latin America, Southeast Asia and Australia-New Zealand. A qualified webmaster, Howard has long experience in Internet and social media. His expertise extends to a frequent consultancy in writing successful business plans in the food & beverage and social entrepreneurship sectors. He is now involved with an EU-funded private sector support initiative to rejuvenate the cocoa industry of the Pacific island of Samoa, where he is building a chocolate factory (yes, somebody has to do it).

Dr. Zainal Ariffin Ahmad
Professor
Professor Dr. Zainal Ariffin Ahmad is the recipient of the coveted Anugerah Akademik Negara (National Academic Award) for Teaching 2008 and the Universiti Sains Malaysia Outstanding Educators Award 2007. An active researcher, he has held 26 research projects to date and was recently appointed as a Visiting Research Fellow, University of South Wales, Australia. He is an Associate Fellow with the Academy of Science Malaysia. Professor Zainal has more than 20 years of training and consultancy experiences at Northern Illinios University and Universiti Sains Malaysia before taking an early retirement to join UNITEN in October 2010. He heads the Graduate Business School, College of Graduate Studies, UNITEN.

Formerly he served as the Principal Investigator in the Human Development
Lab, School of Management and in 2009, he heads the BRAIN (Business Research for
Applied Innovations in Neurosciences) Lab, Graduate School of Business,
Universiti Sains Malaysia. He served two terms as Deputy Dean for Research and
Graduate Studies at the School of Management, Universiti Sains Malaysia. He has
graduated more than 25 PhD and DBA graduates to date. He supervises doctoral and
master candidates in the areas of organizational behavior, brain and learning,
quality and human resource management. He is published in international and
national journals and serves as editor and reviewer to several international
journals.

Dr. Amran Awang

Dr. Amran Awang was appointed as a lecturer in Universiti Teknologi MARA Perlis campus in 1990 and has been promoted as an associate professor in entrepreneurship since 2000. Currently heading the entrepreneurship center of the campus.
Graduated in Bachelor Degree (Management) from Tri-State University now known as Trine University in Indiana, USA in 1988. Masters of Business Administration from Webster University, Saint Louis, Missouri, USA in 1989. And PhD in Corporate Management and Entrepreneurship from Universiti Sains Malaysia in 2006.
Currently active in research and consultancy apart from developing students’ academic and hands-on entrepreneurial activities on campus. Successfully secured two fundamental research grant scheme (FRGS) in 2008 and 2012, one exploratary research grant scheme (ERGS) in 2012. Both scheme was a competitive research awards of Malaysian Ministry of Higher Learning (MOHE). The recent research awards were about grounded theory in sustainable entrepreneurship in Malaysia and input-process-output (IPO) model of strategic entrepreneurship among SMEs in Malaysia.
Actively involve in organizing and participating in research conferences and journals at national and international level. Chair and director of the First and Second Entrepreneurship and Management International Conference (EMIC), reviewer for IEEE international conferences such as CSSR, CHUSER, SUSHER, and ISBEIA, a presenter in the 6th and 7th QIK International Conference and Global SMEs International Conference of Monash University here in Malaysia and in Australia. Editor of African Journal of Business Management (AJBM), Associate Editor of the International Journal of Economics and Business Modeling (IJEBM), reviewer for Intelek Journal of UiTM Perlis, Jurnal Pengurusan UKM, Jurnal PTSS, Journal of Social Enterprise and Entrepreneurship (JSEE) of Purdue University at Calumet USA.
